About Utthan
We are an organization working towards the betterment of the rural India and tribal communities in the field of education, skill development, health and basic necessities.
We are situated on the bank’s of beautiful Ganga river in Ghazipur district (60 km from Varanasi)of Eastern Uttar Pradesh.
With the inspiration from Late Awadh Bihari ji (social worker and activist) and guidance of Mr. Manoj Sinha (Lieutenant Governor, J&K), our founder Mr. Sanjeev Kumar Gupta with the help of other members, established the trust in 2015.
We have successfully constructed different elements like hostel for tribal children, skill development center, arogya dham, children’s park etc in our two acre large campus in the year 2017.B
OUR IMPACT
Education

Boys and girls have been enrolled in different schools at primary level.
Tribal children have been sponsored by urban families. with the initiative of Utthan Foundation.
Youngsters were provided skills like sewing, weaving, computer operating etc.
Health
.
Families of the district has been provided and sponsored medical treatments.
Each successful medical camps are organised every year in a village.

Tribal villages of ghazipur district are provided with medical van visits equiped with doctors and medicines
Water and other Facility

Handpumps has been installed in different tribal villages.
Solar lights are installed in tribal villages. .
Roads has been built in different tribal bastis with the support of administration.
Environment and Economy
Plants has been successfully planted in the past few years by the trust.

Paper based plates and bowls manufacturing machine is installed in Karanda Musahar village.
Youths were given employment or self-employment after completing education. .
The Last Man in Line
This documentary by Utthan foundation is filmed on the life of Musahar community of eastern Uttar Pradesh.
It covers the present situation of the community including their livelihood, lifestyle, resources etc.
The title ‘The last Man in line’ showcases that how in the new era of growth and technology there is a large section of our society who is striving for basic needs.
This documentary is the voice for the communities like Musahars.
As an impact if this documentary, the community received a special package of 200 crores for construction of their houses by Uttar Pradesh government. This short film has also influenced many leaders like shri Manoj sinha ji to take initiatives for their upliftment.
We are greatful to the team who made this documentary with immense efforts and hard work.
